  • Job Description:
  • The Configuration Manager's primary responsibility is to work with other team members to ensure product builds and traceability across all products.
    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Establish and implement configuration management program, policies and procedures
  • Configure and administer a source code repository that supports web developemnt
  • Perform and manage software builds and releases to QA and Production
  • Integrate fixes and product enhancements into the code repository
  • Coordinate with teams to produce documentation and release notes
  • Configure and maintain bug tracking and code management tools
  • Create stable build systems for all development teams
  • Automate regular builds
  • Accurately and diligently maintain multiple build stack configurations
  • Verify nightly builds and automated smoke tests
  • Develop utilities and scripts to help manage the build enviroment, and built failure evaluation
  • Implement a method for tracking dependencies across components
  • Maintain version control enviroment and build PCs
  • Establish restore strategy with network engineers
  • Coordinate placement of third party components into code control environment
  • Run QA installers as needed
  • Work with developers to troubleshoot build problems
  • All other duties as assigned
  • Required Skills:
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 3+ years work experience in a development role
  • Previous configuration management experience using CM processes and tools in a multi code environment
  • Previous software development lifecycle experience
  • Workable knowledge of Windows NT and Windows 2000
  • Full lifecycle project experience
  • Work experience with building web applications
  • Familiarity with build stack maintenance and change management tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
