Job Description:
SPECIFIC JOB DESCRIPTION: Provide support of software development configuration management of computer programs for a large project. Tasks include: monitoring the development process, building the computer program, running and analyzing audit reports, facilitating change control process, control source code versions using an automated CM tool, and assisting developers follow configuration management processes. Additional responsibilities include support to the software CM engineers in the development, documentation, and maintenance of CM processes.
Candidate must be willing to support extended hours and non-standard shifts.
STANDARD JOB DESCRIPTION: Conducts research for and collaborates with equipment designers in the design, development, and utilization of software systems. Determines computer software architecture; advises hardware designers on machine characteristics that affect software, such as storage capacity, processing speed, and input/output requirements; advises in the design and development of compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and system. May advise in the design and development of image collection, processing, and dissemination systems, including CD-ROMS. Frequently uses industry practices and techniques, applying standard concepts and principles. Independently applies solutions of moderate scope and complexity, and compently performs and solves standard assignments. Errors in judgement or failure to achieve assigned results would normally require a moderate expenditure of resources to rectify. Represents organization on specific projects/teams.

Required Skills:
EDUCATION REQUIRED: Bachelors degree from an accredited college in related discipline.
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 2 years of professional experience. Zero years of experience with related Masters degree. Considered experienced, but still a learner.
Minimum one year of experience with the configuration management process.
Experience setting up and maintaining code management with the VAX CMS or Rational Clearcase tool.
Working knowledge of the VAX VMS and/or HP/SUN UNIX operating systems.
Experience writing and maintaining VMS command or UNIX script files.
Minimum one year experience with Framemaker, MS Word or comparable
documentation tool.
Ability to document processes associated with daily tasks. Ability to analyze and suggest improvements to such processes.
Knowledge of AEGIS Weapon System Computer Programs a plus
Strong interpersonal, ownership and initiative skills.
Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Bonus:
| Sign on bonus us negotiable at time of offer. All other increases are performance based annually.
