Job Description:	Manage group of 4-6 Configuration Management, script development, and release engineers who support 75-100 software development engineers. Responsible to set the CM direction for the company and to define and get buy-in to CM policies. Responsible to visualize and implement a software tools strategy within the engineering department that provides for an increase in efficiency. Will work with software project managers, software engineers and integration test engineers to produce builds of the highest quality using tools created by the CM group. Produce major software releases, beta release and maintenance patches on Unix, NT and Win2000 platforms
Required Skills:	Must possess a strong understanding of release engineering and configuration management tools and processes Must demonstrate a solid understanding of the development process Hands-on experience with make, shell scripting, Perl, and Rational ClearCase is highly preferred Experience with NT and Unix required. Proven leadership skills as a department manager or project leader Self motivated and team oriented Ability to plan, organize, and execute a software support project Sensitive to and able to work with internal customers Good written, verbal, and time management skills are essential Requires BSEE/BSCS or equivalent with 8-10 years of experience within software configuration management, tools development or build and release environments
