Job Description:
| Responsibilities for the release engineer include:
Maintenance of automated daily build environment
Coordination and planning of release schedules
Maintenance and support for complex repository structure
Release of software and documentation to internal and external consumers
Coordination and support of automated smoke test for each release
Release plan/schedule tracking and execution
Inter-group coordination of internal feature integration milestones
Development of improved building and smoke testing tools and structures
Release issue tracking
Coordination between Alpha/Beta/FCS customers and Engineering organization
Coordination of multiple concurrent software development branches, and required merging
Cataloging and archival of historic releases
Build and release process documentation and review

Required Skills:
| Excellent communication skills, outgoing engineer with 4+ years experience in software release management/coordination or similar position, CVS, Linux/Unix experience mandatory. Previous experience with construction of build environments a strong plus. Experience with any of the following also a plus: bash/csh scripting, autoconf, Makefiles, Perl, Tcl/Tk, Test Automation.
