Job Description:
| Our Portland, OR client is looking for a configuration manager to work closely with their development, quality assurance, infrastructure and application teams to help define and implement application release procedures. You will also help to define, build and deploy IT architecture and applications that will lower costs, improve interoperability, simplify system maintenance and increase security.

Required Skills:
| Requirements include:
Minimum 5 years IT experience
Working knowledge of version control systems (VSS or PVCS Version Manager)
Working knowledge of issue tracking systems (PVCS Tracker, Rational ClearQuest)
Perl, UNIX shell scripting and SFTP
Experience with high-availability architecture including clustering and replication
Experience with troubleshooting, capacity planning, performance tuning and hardware sizing and configuration
Understanding of "hot site" disaster recovery strategies
Understanding of distributed application environments
Experience with databases and Java technologies
Experience with web and applications servers (Apache, Tomcat, ColdFusion, WebLogic, WebSphere)
Understanding of UNIX servers (Solaris, AIX and Linux) as well as Windows servers
Understanding of networks (LAN, WAN, Intranet and Internet)
Strong technical proficiency in a cross-platform enterprise environment
Experience with a variety of operating systems, databases, networking and security
Experience working within all phases of the development life cycle
BS/CS or equivalent
