Job Description:
| Our client is seeking a talented and practiced Engineer to work with
their product release team to build and release software across multiple
delivery platforms including Solaris 9 on Sparc, Intel and AMD. This
position will have full responsibility for the software development
environment and software integrations and releases. Work with existing
staff to re-evaluate and maintain existing source control system.
Experience with all aspects of the build procedures. Oversee nightly
builds for ongoing development streams; rebuild specific fixes to build
problems; manage merge of source code streams bi-weekly, using ClearCase
or similar merge tools and contact engineers on as need basis.
Responsibilities include producing candidate builds for submission to QA
and its subsequent release to manufacturing; develop and maintain
Engineering release web site. |
Required Skills:
| The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two or more years
experience in industrial release procedures (builds, particularly on
Windows and UNIX platforms); or ClearCase and Systems administration
experience. UNIX required, Solaris 9 highly desired. Experience using
configuration management tools. Excellent communication and teamwork
skills are essential. The ability to oversee, design and manage the
build release process is essential. Experience in Perl is a big plus.
