    		• The Release Engineer is accountable for establishing and maintaining code management activities in support of the development and maintenance of software for the Investment Division and Guaranteed and Structured Financial Products Group.
  • Using established procedures and tools, maintains the integrity and audit trail of software through the product life cycle (development, testing, staging, and production).
  • Establishes new release branches for a variety of applications and platforms
  • Performs the release of code from one environment to the next (eg. Unit test to Systems test).
  • Reconciles the release of code from one environment to the next; ensures the integrity of the code movement from one environment to the next.
  • Creates code management plans for new software initiatives and enhancements to existing applications
  • Required Skills:
    		• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Math, Business Administration or any other discipline related to information technology or financial services
  • 2-4 years experience with software development and maintenance practices
  • 2-4 years experience working in team environment with focus on customer service
  • Release engineering experience
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, MS Project and Outlook
  • Experience with release engineering concepts, methodologies and tools (Clearcase, PVCS)
  • Experience with basic UNIX commands
  • Exposure to scripting language (perl, korn shell) a plus
  • Ability to communicate with a variety of IT professionals: managers, business analysts, developers, etc.
  • Flexible, able to handle multiple assignments at once, focuses on deadlines
