Job Description:
The SW Development Tools Section provides in-house customization and support of software tools focused on increasing productivity in the SW Engineering Community. Work within a team of engineers to install, configure, troubleshoot, performance tune and provide user support for the COTS Software Development Tools supporting Requirements Management and Traceability. The deployed tools currently include: DOORs, ReqPro, Slate and some home-grown tools on UNIX and NT platforms.
Specific tasks include:
On call support for deployed tools.
Customization of tools to suit project needs.
Customization of Tools to support integrated development environment.
Insertion of new product releases, support for installation migration
Verification of capabilities in new releases, test before insertion
Develop standard configurations to offer as off the shelf solutions to project.
Develop scripts to integrate tooling.
Understand licensing and installation requirements.
Develop and deploy trouble shooting scripts.
Attend vendor training and conferences.
Maintain web site to facilitate support contact and information on current releases
Establish and maintain vendor technical contact
Provide utilization statistics for deployments.
Develop and follow procedures in a team environment.
Travel between local sites (within a 45 miles radius).

Required Skills:
| Understanding of requirements traceability issues and domain. User support skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English) 2 or more years DOORs support experience 2 or more years experience with NT 2 or more years scripting experience (perl, tcl, csh, sh, ksh). Experience performing tool evaluations / use. ClearCase, Rose, C++, Doors, Tornado, VxWorks, COTS. Experience Range: 4-6 years Degree: Bachelors Major(s): Mathematics, Software Engineering.
